Our story
We are Bert and Petra and we would like to welcome you to our bed & breakfast on the Oude Trambaan in the historic white town of Thorn.
We originally come from the Zwolle area, where Bert ran a large dairy farm in the Mastenbroek polder for many years. The farm is still in the family; The eighth generation now runs the company.
Petra has always done administrative work in the Emmeloord and Kampen area.
Together we have decided to embark on a whole new adventure and share our passion for hospitality and nature with our guests. We would like to welcome you to our b&b where you can relax and enjoy all the beauty that this area has to offer!
Sustainability
There is already enough waste around us and we see it as a challenge not to produce residual waste. That is why we put our products in glass jars, which we reuse.
We happily serve you coffee by De Koffiejongens in cups which are completely biodegradable and may be disposed with organic waste.
In our premises we account for that as well; wood for the furniture, lamps, and chairs. Several accessories are even made of old building materials.
